as robert m pirsig says at the beginning of 'zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance', talking about riding a motorbike, 'on a cycle the frame is gone. you're completely in contact with it all. you're in the scene, not just watching it anymore, and the sense of presence is overwhelming.' this sums up where I've been for the last few years. trying to get inside the scene. and the scene is myself. |
